Summer is here! But men still have to go to work looking good don’t they? Read on to check out 3 summer looks I’ve put together with pieces from Code’s new SS16 collection.
The Tan/Navy color combo makes for some really classy summer looks. Tan itself is a color that is well suited to business-casual attire, perfect for daily work attire. It may not work for formal meetings however. Note how this outfit goes from light to dark and light again when looked at from head to toe.
A deconstructed tan blazer like this one can make for very comfortable summer wear. This particular example has lighter construction in the shoulders and an unlined back.
The key to wearing lighter neutrals like tan is to use your accessories to bring out the undertones of the jacket. The dark brown tie here brings out the brown in the jacket, without clashing. The blue helps graduate the colors, acting as a segue.
A plain Navy suit will take you to every business meeting you will ever attend.
This suit from Code has a slightly more relaxed cut which means more airflow.
The best way to embellish a suit is to accessorize. I’ve found that red works well with blue, as evidenced clearly by my watch.
However, it is important to make sure that all of your accessories aren’t of the exact same color. Matchy-matchy is not nice.
The ultimate weapon a man can have in his wardrobe to combat the summer heat is a fabric that has been with us before the Pyramids were built – Linen.
Linen has tiny holes all over, which not only give the eye some texture to look at, but also allow for air to flow freely, keeping you cool. Linen can also hold quite a bit of water without showing it, so you can bid goodbye to sweat stains.
Black dress shoes finish up the outfit. I think I’d rock all-white sneakers with this outfit too!
Pink and blue work very well together. This outfit is guaranteed to turn heads at your best friend’s wedding! Look cool, stay cool.
I know what you’re thinking, wrinkles! If you are someone who can’t stand creases, this suit is made for you. Linen blends offer you the breathability of pure linen, minus the creasing. As for me, I have grown to embrace the creasing.
Of all the menswear brands in the Indian market, when I think of daily formal-wear, I think of Code. Code delivers consistently with well cut, affordable shirts with patterns that only get better every year. Their suits and accessories aren’t far behind in quality either. As for this collection, the powder blue linen suit was my favorite piece. Leave your thoughts in the comments below. What are you wearing to work this summer?
